Anderson Silva - Best fighter in the world?

I read a number of articles about Anderson Silva after his last two fights and it seems like the people, especially at Yahoo Sports, don't have anything good to say about him. Hmmmmm. Champion of the world. Longest victory streak in the UFC. Smashes competitors so badly they are afraid to engage.

And yet, I keep reading these articles saying that he's... what? I'm not even sure what they are saying. Dana White (UFC owner) is disappointed? He didn't dominate his competitor? I'm not sure exactly what these articles are implying...

The competitors, it seems to me, are so wary of his ability they are attempting to negate him by refusing to fight him as the UFC intended. I think it is his latest victims that should be "I.D.ed" as under performing. Their refusal to engage this champion is nothing more than another sign of his dominance in a sport that few can dominate.

To me, Dana White is another Mark Cuban, an owner who has entirely too much say in entirely too much. I don't find him especially insightful. He just happens to control the UFC. Who cares? I don't tune in to watch him. And unlike other sports writers, the UFC doesn't "gift" me with anything so I have no reason to echo everything the super tough (he's an Ed Hardy tough guy... loves the image, loves to hang out with the talent and boss them around...) Dana White has to say.

Silva is a machine.

A champion.

And the best fighter the UFC controls. (they love to control, don't they? Can't blame them, though)
