B.J. Penn has two losses to Steroids and Vasaline

Other fighters have accused St. Pierre of using vasaline. Still, he and his team maintain they were ignorant of anything do to with this cheating behavior. Huh? Did I hear that correctly? This from the guy that's leaking steroids from any crack? Are you kidding me? I don't blame GSP, he's just trying to win. When I played basketball I used a lot of dirty tricks to rattle opposing star players. But I wouldn't expect the other fella's coach to pat me on the back for it. I might, if my team won, expect the media to write that I won. I wouldn't expect the media to gloss over what I had done, especially if it got the star player thrown out for taking a swing at me (true story.)

B.J. Penn has dominated every fighter he has ever faced except Matt Hughes who is quite the strong little man and GSP, who is obviously juiced (trust me, I have friends who sell top shelf stuff and they mention it as if there shouldn't be any argument. In fact, they site it as an example as to why you should juice...but that's another story on another website!)

This is just a little blurp giving Penn his due. Dude is one of the greatest of all time and the only change I think he should make is... start juicing before you face GSP again. MMA should love Penn. The UFC is, after this last title defense, angling their love for B.J. at 155 pounds exclusively. No! GSP is a great fighter with vasaline and juice in his corner. B.J. would dominate GSP's class as well, especially if he gained some price juiced muscle!

Defeated, Miguel Torres Vowes Revenge!

Miguel Torres has an an official wins/losses record of thirty seven wins and no losses. He has a work ethic no one can match and he is made of steel. He demands the respect of every fighter in the world.

He is now ready to fight anyone. He competes becomes his way of life demands that he match life's skill with his own brand of fighting and determination. Torres fights for honor, a thing lost to most people these days.

He took his training in toughness from the Gracie family learning Gracie Martial Arts and then fighting on the streets. His blood and sweat have prepared him to return to the ring and fight any fighter. He has already shown that he can overcome a loss and dominate his field. He doesn't rely on the idea of winning to fight, like many fighters, he doesn't doubt himself because it isn't about winning... Miguel Torres must fight. He has no choice, his own confidence demands that he test himself against all odds.

Can he face his demons?

He already has. He is a fighting phenom and as such he sees nothing else in this existence. Torres understand the fighting world like few fighters today. They are using fighting to become something else, the person they never felt they were inside. But Miguel knows who he is, he understand his place in life and is happy watching his children and being with his friends in the gym preparing to fight. He is, like Fedor Emelianenko, one of the most centered fighters today, and anyone can see that by watching them fight. They don't stick to game plans, they have transcended plans, their fighting is natural, habit even, and so he reacts with ferocity and skill where others would be confused.

MMA is something few people understand. Most people love MMA as a fan, some love it as a sport, others because of their dreams, but Torres is Mixed Martial Arts. He pushes to excel where others would only push because they desperately want to be part of that top tier of the best warriors. There is no desperation in Miguel Torres's fighting, only the will to bend his opponent.

Brian Bowles was able to knock Torres out but in no way did he change Torres. Miguel will be back to fighting and if he has a choice he would like nothing more than to fight Bowles once again.

In the MMA world only Silva], Fedor and Torres have that look in their eye that feels super dangerous. People don't want to fight them because if they do they just might get injured in the process. It's animal instinct. If you get hurt in the wild, you very likely will die. That's how it goes.

If you get hurt the pack leaves you in the dust, behind, you try to survive Your only change is to stay with the pack.

Miguel is coming back. Count on it!

Rampage Scuttles Off Stage Right...

Rampage Jackson has agreed to be a coach on the Ultimate Fighter. Against Rashad Evans. I think Dana (UFC)must have offered him some real money. Why? Well, with Rashad getting Knocked Out in spectacular fashion... facing him seems less than stellar.

In fact, there's no good MMA reason to do it other than a pay day.

Get two devastating punchers together and let the fans go wild. I don't care. These two can build their hype all they want. It's still a nothing fight in the middle of nowhere... well until the winner gets a shot at the title (so White can keep his MMA machine rolling) But until then, Rampage has scuttled off... lol.

Good job, Rampage. I wouldn't want a piece of Machida either. Let someone else knock him out. He was made to dismantle punchers.

Rashad vs. Rampage? Kewwwwlll....

I don't really like watching either of these guys but at the same time I am very quick to admit that they have some serious power behind them. They hit with heavy, heavy hands. And they are skilled enough in other areas that people can't take advantage of them like the strikers of UFC old had to endure.

Neither one of them is a brawler so I think some fans might actually be disappointed in the fight. They don't wildly pursue the enemy until somebody has been knocked out. They fight with cunning and aggression.

They both also have great chins.

I could really see which of them hits harder by their reactions in this fight. It's always interesting when someone you thought hit like a ton of bricks finds out the other guys hits even harder. (I thought that happened in the Jens Pulver vs. Uriah Faber fight - Pulver was a little stunned at Faber's aggression and punching power)

Too bad the fight won't happen for a while.

Smashed Him in the Face! Doc Bans Rashad Evans After Devestating Loss!

Nevada Fighting Comish: Rashad Evans: Suspended from action - "No Contact" until July 8 for "precautionary reasons."

Man, that beating was so bad that the Nev Comish had to lock you down just in case you thought about taking a fight in the next few... lol. That guy can't even read the writing on the suspension! He'll have to get the guy spoon feeding him oatmeal to read it to him.

"Rashad, stop shaking and swallow your blueberry delight oatmeal. Listen to this, Nevada says you can't fight until July 8th..."

LoL.

Smashed in the Face!

Return of the Dragon

Lyoto SMASHED Rashad Evans... it wasn't pretty. Well, it was, but not for Evans who couldn't deal with Lyoto's defense... he looked like a high school kid trying to play basketball against LaBron James... not pretty. LoL.

Evan's didn't even really hit Machida. How strange is that in a fight. A fist fight no less. I mean, these are two fighters at the top of their game at the top of the UFC world. And one of them can't even hit the other?!?

Plus, Machida doesn't look like he has 500 oz. of juice running through his veins like GSP. I'm not saying he's on the juice... wait, yes I am. I know a couple steroid dealers and they SWEAR he's juiced up. And they gave me a pretty compelling argument. I wonder if GSP could punch Lyoto? I think he's much more rounded and could easily connect but doing real damage is another story all together.

I can't say there's a fighter I enjoy watching more these days. I mean, if they are going to keep throwing nobody after nobody at Fedor, well, I'm stuck with the UFC, Miguel Torres and Faber. And the UFC means Lyoto Machida!!! Oh, and Anderson Silva. Two guys at the top of their game.

Smash him in the Face: Predicts it's the year of the Dragon

Lyoto Machida vs. Rashad Evans

The battle of two undefeated champions.
Black vs. Mexican.
Striker vs. Technician.
Offense vs. Defense.

Can it get any better than this?

I love it when two guys get together in the ring that are good. I love watching both of these guys, but I really love watching Machida. I might be the only one. The UFC sure doesn't like him. He doesn't win spectacularly but he does win. And win. And win. And he never gets hit.

It's a thing of beauty to watch Lyoto. Perfect timing...hard, fast kicks, great footwork, quick hands, good vision and nearly impenetrable defense. I think his style frustrates people... like it did to Tito Ortiz who complained during their fight by sighing and rolling his eyes and throwing up his hands as if Lyoto were supposed to remain still and get hit.

Doesn't seem like a good idea to me... and it didn't seem to be a good idea to him. So Tito was pushed from the UFC with his internet sensation girlfriend to... I'm not sure where he'll end up. He's a good fighter who was a great fighter once and he still what it takes to compete at this level.

This Sat. I think you'll see Lyoto's defensive style frustrate Rashad Evans the same way it has everyone else. Sure Rashad can end it with one punch but if you saw the Griffen fight you saw that a great game plan can do a lot against Evans. But Machida hasn't show the need to demonstrate his ability to take blows (see Oscar De La Hoya)to let everyone know he's a true champion. He, like Anderson Silva, just keeps winning.

Shut up, Dana White!

Even if this blog gets up to 1,000 visitors a day (who am I kidding? lol) I know I'll never be invited to a UFC event. Because, as a fan, I'm sick of Dana White. I love the fact that he brought the UFC to prominence. I love that MMA got it's chance because of him. But that doesn't mean I love him.

If Chuck Liddell wants to get punched in the brain some more... who is Dana White to say different? They're friends? My friends don't tell me to quit something to a hundred thousands fans. My friends don't out me on public television. I don't know what kind of friends you have. My friends don't suck.

I'm sure, being the owner of the UFC he can afford a cell phone. My friends call me or come over to talk about that kinds of stuff. Either that or they keep their mouths shut.

I know Dana White's taking shots at Chuck's trainer about money issues... but I think that's where Dana's motivation to speak PUBLICILY comes from as well. He knows the money horse has been replaced by a battered, novelty ticket draw. Something the UFC doesn't need. Maybe he's trying to save Chuck's reputation... but only because he's associated himself with Chuck for so long. He Punk'd Chuck for Christ's sake!

Dana looks like he's worred about Dana. This is a classic selfish ploy that he can try to cover up with his rantings and ravings all he wants. Changes nothing. He put his boy out to pasture. He used his power to try and push Liddell out. That's called a Power Play where I come from. And once again, we don't do that to our friends...

Dana White.... Shut up!

Anderson Silva - Best fighter in the world?

I read a number of articles about Anderson Silva after his last two fights and it seems like the people, especially at Yahoo Sports, don't have anything good to say about him. Hmmmmm. Champion of the world. Longest victory streak in the UFC. Smashes competitors so badly they are afraid to engage.

And yet, I keep reading these articles saying that he's... what? I'm not even sure what they are saying. Dana White (UFC owner) is disappointed? He didn't dominate his competitor? I'm not sure exactly what these articles are implying...

The competitors, it seems to me, are so wary of his ability they are attempting to negate him by refusing to fight him as the UFC intended. I think it is his latest victims that should be "I.D.ed" as under performing. Their refusal to engage this champion is nothing more than another sign of his dominance in a sport that few can dominate.

To me, Dana White is another Mark Cuban, an owner who has entirely too much say in entirely too much. I don't find him especially insightful. He just happens to control the UFC. Who cares? I don't tune in to watch him. And unlike other sports writers, the UFC doesn't "gift" me with anything so I have no reason to echo everything the super tough (he's an Ed Hardy tough guy... loves the image, loves to hang out with the talent and boss them around...) Dana White has to say.

Silva is a machine.

A champion.

And the best fighter the UFC controls. (they love to control, don't they? Can't blame them, though)
